The Bratislava-Kosice duo teamed up during the first wave of the covid pandemic. Adam Dragun and Patrik Nagy made their debut in 2020 with an EP called Bigbít, but their real breakthrough came with the album Život končí keď máš trinásť (Life Ends When You're Thirteen), which was released at the end of October 2022. Last year, Berlin Manson expanded their line-up with the addition of drummer Tomáš Tabiš (52 Hertz Whale), and at the end of March they released a new album Poor But Sexy under the Weltschmerzen label in Bratislava. Soundtrack to the end of the world? Nothing else.
The project combines DIY aesthetics and (synth)punk atmosphere with contemporary trap and is a proof of complete genre, producer and opinion freedom. They sing and rap about Depeche Mode, spaceships or soundcloud trends, drowning in waves of melancholic synths, but their sound and attitude are not just about unrestricted fun. Go ahead, nod your head and then catch yourself dancing like it's the last time. The band will perform at Colours of Ostrava along with guests.
