According to Cato, “When you live in Amsterdam and are surrounded by electronic trance music day-in-day-out, your own blues style suddenly takes on a more psychedelic sound which makes you stand out from regular blues band,” offering an explanation for the group’s voodoo blues ritual which also features elements of Moroccan gnawa and Indian raga music.
