Monika Brodka will be presenting her new album Clashes which was recorded in Los Angeles.
The former Polish pop idol winner with several platinum albums under her belt could have been forgiven for resting on her laurels, but clearly not averse to a bit of risk, she decided on a pretty radical change of musical direction. And while her sound may at times display tinges of tinges of Bat for Lashes, Anna Calvi and Julia Holter, we can assure you Brodka is very much the genuine article. “I created an endless array of sounds and fragments and then spent ages working out for myself whether they were viable.
