I believe in compassion and in the wisdom of discernment, in reason and in the mystical dimension \u2014 the one that cannot be weighed or measured, clearly named or fully explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I honour the roots, tend to the strength and vitality of the trunk, and find hope in the gaze lifted toward the crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I try to share this hope \u2014 to plant seeds without clinging to the way they will grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My main teachers have been a Brahmin, tantric Buddhists, a psychiatrist, and countless wonderfully ordinary people along the way \u2014 some more experienced, some less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From my children, I learn to be a healthier child \u2014 one cared for by my own adulthood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do not seek the spiritual only in heights, though I honour the perspective the heights can offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The depths are my strict and loving godmother. In the arms of the dark goddess, I find both acceptance and uncompromising clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am learning not to be an enemy to myself, not to obstruct the breath of spirit moving through me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am learning to navigate myself and others through the in-between \u2014
the bardo of ordinary days, in which all is contained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am learning to be well within myself \u2014
both for now, and for eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
