The lineup will feature well-known names such as the duo Brain We Are<\/strong> or Petr Hork\u00fd<\/strong>, complemented by Czech physicists, doctors, entrepreneurs<\/strong>, and athletes<\/strong>. From abroad, guests will include longevity expert Nir Barzilai<\/strong>, journalist Greg C. Bruno<\/strong>, and optometrist Joseph Allen<\/strong>. Also returning to the program are the traditional Storytelling Tent<\/strong> and Cacao Stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the release of the Colours of Ostrava<\/strong> schedule with more than 120 performances, Meltingpot<\/strong> is also revealing its program. This year\u2019s edition will feature 200 personalities<\/strong>:
\u201cMeltingpot has become an inseparable part of Colours of Ostrava. This year again, we offer our visitors the chance to open up to ideas without borders. Over 150 debates, lectures, and workshops reflect the current state of the world around us, as well as our personal, inner worlds. Whether you choose daily yoga, Czech Radio shows focusing on current geopolitical events, intimate stories in the Storytelling Tent, or the light-hearted \u2018Tales from Tinder\u2019, you\u2019ll gain endless live information and firsthand experiences,\u201d<\/em> says program director Filip Ko\u0161\u0165\u00e1lek<\/strong>. The eighth edition of Meltingpot<\/strong> will symbolically take place across eight stages<\/strong>, with programs starting before noon<\/strong>, except on the first day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the biggest draws are international guests such as geneticist Nir Barzilai<\/strong>, psychologist Deirdre Barrett<\/strong>, optometrist and vision care promoter Joseph Allen<\/strong>, known as Doctor Eye Health<\/strong>, and former Bollywood star and Kundalini yoga teacher Bijay Anand<\/strong>.
\u201cI\u2019m thrilled about every confirmed guest \u2013 sometimes the negotiations take years. Our close-knit production and booking team puts together individual proposals to create a diverse palette of debates, discussions, and meetings. Figures like coach <\/em>Phaedria Marie St. Hilaire<\/em><\/strong> or ocean rower <\/em>Mick Dawson<\/em><\/strong> are not only reliable sources of inspiration but also embody and fulfill the values of our festival,\u201d<\/em> explains David Gonos<\/strong> on behalf of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cacao Stage<\/strong> will open for the third time, bridging the musical world of Colours of Ostrava<\/strong> with the Meltingpot<\/strong> conference program. Theater is also an integral part. A traditional guest is Prague\u2019s VOSTO5<\/strong>, which will perform in full formation. The audience will also enjoy an improv show by “My kluci, co spolu chod\u00edme”<\/strong>, satire by “Na\u0161i fabulanti”<\/strong> from Ductus Deferens<\/strong>, and finally, film screenings introduced by guest presenters<\/strong>. The 20th anniversary of Extraordinary Tales of Madness<\/em><\/strong> will be commemorated by Ivan Trojan<\/strong>, Vladimir 518<\/strong> will present the documentary Architecture of Czechoslovakia 58\u201389<\/em>, and Karel Och<\/strong> will exclusively bring the feature debut Summer School, 2001<\/em><\/strong> by Du\u017ean Duong<\/strong> from the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also part of the Meltingpot forum<\/strong> program will be a sales exhibition of technologies and products<\/strong> in the field of longevity, healthy lifestyle, physical and mental performance<\/strong>, Biohacking Expo<\/strong>. Over twenty exhibitors<\/strong> will present this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general partner<\/strong> of this year\u2019s edition is Schaeffler<\/strong>, which sees this collaboration as an opportunity to promote creative approaches<\/strong> and bring technology closer to the public<\/strong>.

Technology and artificial intelligence are becoming an increasingly important part of our lives.
