American composer and multi-instrumentalist, personal flautist to Osho. Talented painter and sculptor. He has created over 20 solo albums, hundreds of compositions and countless works of art. He performs, conducts workshops and exhibits his works in Europe and South America.

Having traveled through countless diverse places, Devakant is currently living in Chile. He has always deeply loved music and drawn inspiration from various spiritual traditions and cultures. He was influenced, for example, by Gregorian chant, Indian classical music, Zen monasteries, and the music of Japan, Tibet, or the shamanic tradition of Central America. All his life, he has been engaged in music with a meditative dimension, taught by the biggest masters of music and meditation. The renowned Indian master Hauriprasad Chaurasia relayed the art of the bamboo flute to him. Devakant also learned to play ancient Indian instruments like sarangi, rudra veenu and many others.

One of the biggest milestones of his life was meeting Osho who initiated him into meditative music and shared a house with him for years. Devakant soon became Osho's beloved flautist, asked to play almost every day during various events. His flute accompanied Osho's last days and also his departure from the world - it played for the deceased master day after day for 100 days after the funeral. Devakant has written a book about his rich musical and spiritual journey full of discipline and his master's love, published in December 2018 and titled In the Eye of the Hurricane: The Inside Story of a Disciple's Journey.
