In the 1990s it started with rock, continued with musical and funk. And in the 2000s came jazz. If someone had told Dan Bart twenty-five years ago that his relationship with Illustratosphere would last a quarter of a century and that five albums would be made, he probably wouldn't have believed it. But from the very first recording, it was clear that something that had room on the Czech music scene had been created.
The unique lyrics, the unpredictable but solid rhythmics under the hands of Robert Balzar and the playful melodies of Filip Jelinek created an ecosystem that could develop with the other members and freely build on the other groups and projects of the individual members of Illustratosphere.
The last time the band played at the Colours of Ostrava was in 2019, before the album Beauty and Animal Dust was released. In addition, the complete four first studio recordings were re-released in 2023 and 2024. Those who would like to remind themselves of songs like Panví, B'Artagnan or Innerview before the festival performance can play the gramophone records at home and look forward to the summer.
