Deep neural networks have revolutionized the fields of computer vision and natural language processing. But can they help physicists in their research? It turns out to be yes. We will focus on a few such selected problems and show how they will be solved using machine learning methods. Student FJFI ČVUT. Georgij je vědeckým asistentem v Ústavu jaderné fyziky AV ČR a taktéž členem Českého Institutu Informatiky, Robotiky a Kybernetiky (CIIRC) na ČVUT. Jeho práce v oblasti klasifikace jetů umožní ještě hlouběji porozumět vlastnostem silné jaderné síly.

Georgij Ponimatkin (CZE)

A student of FNSPE CTU in Prague. Georgy is a research assistant at Nuclear Physics Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences, and also a member of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) at CTU. His research on jet classification will allow to probe properties of the strong nuclear force even deeper.
