Milan Hes – a high school teacher, academic and a non-fiction author who publishes in professional and popular-science magazines. Milan Hes is a member of the Czech Association of Oral History and of the Patria society and an associate of the Malach Visual History Center. He is also the author of several books on Holocaust and Jewish history in Czechoslovakia, among them Čekání na smrt (Waiting for Death) and others. He collaborates on didactic projects devoted to teaching contemporary history.


Petr Šímček – a history teacher at Olga Havlova Grammar School in Ostrava. Since the mid-1990s, he has been organizing and directing student seminars on modern Czechoslovak and world history. He is an organizer of high school student conferences, workshops and methodological seminars for history teachers, and one of the founders and long-time editor-in-chief of the educational portal modernídejiny.cz. Petr is also the co-author of a book called Společně dějinami (Together through History) and several methodological reference books.
